Job Details and Description

Description: Students at large represent the needs and opinions of students at the Senate level, as well as delivering information on the Senate’s activities back to students.

The Senate meets four times per year to explore ways in which the University can better connect with the public. It may require reports from any part of the University, as well as receive and consider submissions from any member of the public, and can deliver public opinions to the University. It also has the power to confer honorary degrees.

Qualifications: Must be registered as an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta.

Must have an interest in student issues at the U of A, and a desire to represent student interests to the University and public.

An understanding of University governance is an asset, but is not required.
