Job Details and Description

Description: Students' Council is the highest governing body of the University of Alberta Students' Union. It is responsible for setting out the bylaws, policies, budgets, and strategic direction of the Students' Union.

As a Councillor, it is your job to represent your faculty at Council meetings, and to balance the needs of your constituents with the best interests of the Students' Union in every vote you make at meetings.

Meetings take place every second Tuesday at 6PM, and typically last 3 - 4 hours. Dinner is provided. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at University Hall. A full schedule of meetings and other information related to Students' Council can be found here:

Qualifications: Must be an undergraduate student in one of the following faculties: Augustana, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine and Dentistry, Pharmacy, or Science.
